Uzbekistan presented itself in a large exhibition complex Tokyo Big Sight, during a traditional international tourism exhibition JATA World Travel Fair, organized by the Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA) and held on Sep. 18-20.

According to Uzinform, the exhibition has been attended by representatives of travel agencies, tourism agencies, airlines, hotel operators and tourism hospitality services from 150 countries and regions of the world, including Uzbekistan.

Thus, the exposition of the Republic of Uzbekistan, organized by the Mission of the Uzbekistan Airways in Japan, together with Uzbektourism, as well as a number of travel companies in Uzbekistan was particularly popular.

Attendees heard details on tourist attractions in Uzbekistan, many of which are included in the list of World Heritage by UNESCO.

In addition, within the exhibition were shown a video about the historical monuments of Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva and Kokand, as well as a special video on the 2200 anniversary of Tashkent.

It should be noted that a member of Tokyo-TV Dzhumpey Yokota in the course of the event noted that Uzbekistan and Japan have similar mentality, expressed in hard work and hospitality. The event, according to his opinion, is the main factor in the rising Japanese interest to Uzbekistan, as to the "Pearl of the Orient" and "Oasis of the Great Silk Road".
