Uzbekneftegaz and South Korea’s DongHo ENC have signed a Memorandum of Association to establish a joint venture for the production of electronic gas meters.

It is expected that the joint venture UNG-DongHo Gascom established on parity basis will produce 100,000 gas meters per year.

The production is scheduled to be launched in the first half of 2010. Its production facilities will be deployed on the territory of the free industrial and economic zone created in Navoi region (FIEZ Navoi). The project that cost $5 million will be financed by Uzbekneftegaz and the Korean company.
