Uzbekneftegaz and South Korea’s DongHo ENC have signed a Memorandum of Association to establish a joint venture for the production of electronic gas meters.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan approved the draft of Uzbekistan budget for 2010, the forecast of the main macroeconomic parameters, the concept of Uzbekistan tax and budget policy.

Uzbek Association of Consulting Engineers and builders together with the Ministry of Economy of Uzbekistan and Asian Development Bank will conduct a seminar on the development of national consulting services on October 5-6, 2009.

The seminar is intended for the market of consulting services, consulting firms, individual consultants, experts and organizations that are or plan to take part in projects financed by Asian Development Bank.

The President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed the Decree "On additional measures to regulate foreign economic activities" (PP-1169), which indicated the new rates of import customs duties for all types of industrial and food products, equipment and materials for the production of consumer goods imported to Uzbekistan and rates of excise duty on imported excise goods.
