The Uzbekistan capital Tashkent hosted the 15th Tashkent International Tourism Fair “Tourism along the Silk Road” (TITF). TITF is the largest tourism forum in Central Asia. This year, the Fair was dedicated to 2200 anniversary of Tashkent.

The Tashkent International Tourism Fair TITF-2009 in Uzbekistan

Tashkent International Tourist Fair is designed for a wide range of professionals, both Uzbek and foreign tourist business. As one of the main activities in the tourism industry of the country, it aims at maintaining the tourist image of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the world.

This year as a partner country of Uzbekistan at the fair was Malaysia, and the colorful stands of tour operators have represented more than 25 countries, including Italy, France, Thailand, China. The Kingdom of Oman made at TITF-2009 it’s debut.

The exhibition stand of the National Airline of Uzbekistan “Uzbekistan Airways”, the permanent member of the Tashkent fair “Tourism along the Silk Road”, was aimed to acquaint visitors with the potential of the airline, flight geography, provide information on pricing and discounts.

Organizer of the TITF-2009 is the National Company Uzbektourism, supported by the World Tourism Organization.

The main purpose of the 15th International Tashkent tourism fair “Tourism on the Silk Road” is the large scale propagation of tourist potential of Uzbekistan, expanding and strengthening cooperation with foreign profile companies.

During two days the Tashkent International Tourism Fair was visited by more than 3,000 guests.
